These photos show a walk-around of the Coyote reconnaissance vehicle shortly
after its issue to the Royal Canadian Dragoons' Recce Squadron in 1987 in
Petawawa. This state-of-the-art vehicle is what serving members referred to as a
'Weekend Buy': one that was pushed through for authorization when there was no
one there to arbitrarily oppose it, as it is not only an excellent vehicle but
exactly what the troops needed to do the job. Formerly known, facetiously, as a
'Horrible Mistake in Acquisition'.
