Spartan with Javelin Surface-to-Air Missile System
These photos show a Spartan armoured personnel carrier which has been fitted to
carry the Javelin anti- aircraft missile. These photos were taken in the B.A.O.R.
region of Northern Germany in 1986 and are part of a 25 photo set showing all
external detail. The experience of the day came when we used the Javelin trainer
to lock-on to a German Phantom and watched him hit the afterburner and start
dodging while dropping to the deck....well trained indeed.
